Chicago, Illinois 1931A photograph of the parade of 5,000 marchers sponsored by the National Live Stock & Meat Board to dramatize the importance of the meat industries and meat consumption to humanity. The parade included floats, bands, live stock, 4-H members, butchers, sausage makers, and employees from every unit of the Stock Yards. Featured here are the "Farmerettes", Stock Yard employees who are attractive boosters of the slogan, "Eat More Meat".
