Description
Santa Monica, California November 27, 1927Ralph Douglas of San Diego will jump from an altitude of 15,000 feet and free fall for 10,000 feet before opening his parachute, thus breaking the old free fall record of 4200 feet. He will use a stop-watch to time the dive, figuring it will take from 25 to 28 seconds. Here he is ready to leap overboard.
