Chicago, Illinois July 9, 1930Six U.S. Army planes fly in formation over the Palmolive building in salute to the Lindbergh Beacon under construction on the top of the building. It will soon be dedicated as the largest and most powerful beacon in the world, having 2 billion candle power and able to throw a light for 500 miles.
