Description
United States 1941Mrs Gloria Noble, widow of the noted painter John Noble, found one of his paintings, 'Sunrise Over Boulogne', in the collection of Wiliam Randolph Hearst that had been badly retouched, so she purchased it from Hearst and sliced out and kept the unretouched part and destroyed the rest of the painting.
